There are two surveys running as part of this project:
- The People Living with Dementia Survey can be completed by people with dementia who are living in the community (i.e. at home, not in a residential care facility) with the support of a care partner if needed.
- The Living with Dementia Carer Survey can be completed by people supporting someone with dementia (care partners).
Please click on the relevant button below to find our more, including how you can participate.
Who is eligible to participate?
- People with dementia living in the community (i.e. at home, not in a residential care facility). They may have a formal diagnosis or be going through the process of getting a diagnosis. They also may have tried to get a diagnosis in the past but for whatever reason do not have one at this time.
- People supporting someone living with dementia in the community (care partners).
The survey is run by researchers from the University of Canberra and funded by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW), and will help better understand the experiences of people living with dementia in our community.
The survey can be completed in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Italian and Greek.
More information about the project, how your personal details will be kept confidential, and the voluntary nature of the surveys can be found in the project information sheets:
